The Governor of Ohio announced today that schools in Ohio will remain closed until May 1. We will continue to reach out to our students and provide lessons electronically. Be sure to complete the survey that was sent out to identify students in need of internet service or a device to access the internet. Students needing a device will be contacted this week to arrange for pick up during our lunch distribution.

Before we start distance learning tomorrow, the Hicksville Staff have prepared a message for students!

Aces students, parents, and community … now it’s YOUR TURN! It is time to band together and show us what you are all doing to stay strong.

Each week we will be asking you to upload videos or pictures to show us all the different things you are doing to stay safe, healthy and positive during this time.

At the end of the week, videos will be downloaded and edited into a weekly montage. The final product will then be posted to social media weekly. If you have any questions, please email Mr. Freese - freesej@hicksvilleschools.org Click here to share your own videos! #acestrong

In light of new information being released by governor DeWine, we are anticipating a potential extension of the state-imposed school shut down. With that being said, our teachers are being provided with professional development pertaining to distance learning for our students. The next few days will also allow our teachers to establish meaningful academic opportunities for all students in our district, those with electronic devices and those without. Additional information will be provided ASAP, but please know that we are working to establish distance learning opportunities for our students that are meaningful and effective.
