Congratulations to these Middle and High School students for their exceptional work and results from the Ohio Music Education Association Solo and Ensemble Contest! The Hicksville Middle School Mixed Ensemble received a Superior Rating on their song "Simple Gifts." This group included Emma Huber-Whitman, Jailyn Tunis, Hannah Ridgway, Aleyah Keeley, Joshua Evans, and Luke Eicher. Emma Huber-Whitman received a Superior Rating on her vocal solo. Jailyn Tunis received Superior and Excellent Ratings on her 2 vocal solos. Aleyah Keeley received Superior and Excellent Rating on her 2 vocal solos, as well! The Hicksville High School Mixed Ensemble received a Superior Rating on their song "Danny Boy." This group included Emily Harmon, Amber Sigman, Artemis Stolz, Eric Eiden, Noah Harmon, and Erik Wilson. Congratulations on a job well done! Emily Mansfield received an Excellent rating on her vocal solo. Leah Thomas received an Excellent rating on her vocal solo, as well. Congratulations to all choir students who participated!

The Jr. High Track Meet scheduled for today (April 15th) has been CANCELLED.

Mrs. Zachrich’s Algebra students entered Jurassic World today! They will be solving missions this week as they review for their state test.

Hot off the press...literally! Here is the first student project made on the new Cricut EasyPress in the STEAM lab.

The varsity softball and baseball games scheduled to be played at Eastside on Saturday (April 10th) will start at 10:00am instead of 11:00am.

There will be no school this Friday, April 9, 2020. Many of our staff members will be coming and going to the hospital to receive their second COVID vaccination shot. We are unable to obtain enough substitute teachers to have class as normal. Thank you for your understanding.

The Huber is currently operating at 25% capacity, and seats are limited. Email gerkene@hicksvilleschools.org ASAP to reserve your seats. You may also call 419-542-7636 x1128. Please include the following information to expedite the process: 1. Performance Date(s) 2. Number of Tickets 3. Preferred Location (Front, Back, Folding Chairs, Theatre Seats, Balcony) We will do our best to accommodate these preferences, but due to COVID restrictions, seats may vary. We are NOT allowed to sell tickets at the door. Ticket sales are by reservation only. The doors will open one hour prior to show time. Please pick up tickets and pay at will call for each performance. We accept cash or checks made out to Hicksville High School Musical. In order to avoid confusion and keep things simple, we will not distribute tickets or collect payments in advance. Masks and social distancing will be required for the audience.
