Kids in School - Learning and Growing As Hicksville Schools is continuing to plan for the 2020-2021 school year, we want to address common topics and concerns that staff, parents and students may have. Please note: Our top goal is to keep our students and staff as safe as possible upon returning to our building. Attached is HEVS’ plan to begin a new school year as normal as possible. This plan is subject to change as we receive additional information and recommendations from the State and County Health Department for the safe operations. The recommendations coming from Governor DeWine, the Ohio Department of Health, the Ohio Department of Education and the Defiance County Health Departments have been taken into consideration when forming this plan. The Defiance County Superintendents have been meeting on a regular basis utilizing all these agencies, in an attempt to collaborate on what the safest route may be to return to school in the fall. We will continue to keep you updated. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Vx7jfMsFXiYy4J4XQAv69CKGEiLprt9s/view?usp=sharing Families interested in HVA, please click this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSddVMkc1VUMt19CuDD3E42vZMYHRwUosbvAbIR5Xktw_96mGg/viewform?usp=sf_link

In collaboration with the Defiance County Health Department and area school districts in Defiance County and NW Ohio, Hicksville Schools have been working diligently on plans for how to safely start the 2020-21 school year. The Governor announced the re-opening guidelines for K-12 schools today. Please be patient as we navigate uncharted territory for the future. Plans will be finalized in the upcoming weeks.
