The Hicksville High School Drama Department is pleased to announce that the 2023 high school musical will be Stephen Sondheim's INTO THE WOODS!
The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests. The main characters are taken from "Little Red Riding Hood", "Jack and the Beanstalk", "Rapunzel", and "Cinderella", as well as several others. The musical is tied together by a story involving a childless baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family, their interaction with a witch who has placed a curse on them, and their interaction with other storybook characters during their journey. This musical will be rated PG-13.
Mark your calendars for March 3, 4, and 5! You won't want to miss this one!

On March 14, the Hicksville High School Student Council joined with the American Red Cross to hold the annual blood drive for students, staff, and the community. This was the first time we were allowed to hold a drive since 2019! Due to Covid-19, we were limited to a smaller number of workers and donors, but we were still able to collect 20 units of blood and save 60 lives! Great job, Aces! This was an excellent example of teamwork and service. We are very proud! We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the donors and volunteers.
