Hicksville High Students - This is a reminder that all student schedule changes must be completed prior to the beginning of the school year. Our goal is to have accurate numbers for class sizes and accurate numbers for sections to be offered. Thank you!

Mr. Countrymanās newsletter had an error for the date of 7th grade orientation. The date for that event is August 13, 2019. Sorry for any confusion!


Just a quick note regarding laptop pickup. 7th graders will have orientation later this month and will be able to pick up their laptops at that time. Only grades 8-12 are able to get their laptops before 7th grade orientation. Sorry about the confusion and the incorrect post.

7th grade orientation will take place Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 6-7pm in the Commons. All 7th grade students and their parents are asked to attend. At the conclusion of the orientation, 7th grade students may pick-up their laptops if all fees are paid, and the correct forms have been filled out.

Students in grades 7-12 may pick up their laptops beginning Mon., Aug. 5 from 9 AM until 3 PM. Please stop in the HS office to check out the computer. Computer Protection must be paid. Any billed damages will need to be paid. Final Forms must also be completed!

School supplies will once again be available for Hicksville students who qualified for free/reduced lunches during the 2018-19 school year.
The Hicksville Community Service Center (419-542-7173) will be distributing the supplies. If you qualify, please call the Center and leave your childrenās name(s) and grade that they will be entering in the fall, along with your phone number, by Friday, July 26.
Supplies will be available for pick up at the Lifeline Connect Ministry Center, 104 Fountain Street, on Tuesday, August 13 from 1-4pm and Wednesday, August 14 from 4-7pm.

The recycled plastic table was delivered to the pool this morning. Enjoy relaxing at the pool beginning at noon today and see the finished product! A special thank you to Eric Bassett and John Adams for helping with the final delivery.


The plastic caps have been successfully delivered and the picnic table is loaded! A huge shout-out to Mrs. Natalie Zachrich and her husband for making the trip to Evansville, Indiana. Check out some pictures from the delivery:


Today we loaded up our 500+ pounds of plastic caps for the trip to Green Tree Plastics in Evansville, Indiana. Look for the recycled plastic picnic table at the Hicksville Pool soon! Thank you again to all who contributed and to the Hicksville Science Club for their hard work.

Congratulations to Mrs. Gerkenās Drama I students! On Thursday, May 23, they performed IS THERE A COMIC IN THE HOUSE? This comedy in two acts was a hilarious success! This served as the final project for the class. Bravo! Huge thanks to Michael Myers and Josh Swift for stepping in at the last minute.


Reminder....MANDATORY Commencement practice for the graduating class of 2019 will take place in the high school gym on Thursday, May 30 at 9:00am

Reminder for the class of 2019 ā The senior cookout will take place in the courtyard on Friday, May 24 at 11:30am. Bring your cap and gown for the senior walk through which will take place after the cookout (roughly 1:00pm).
