Just a quick note regarding laptop pickup. 7th graders will have orientation later this month and will be able to pick up their laptops at that time. Only grades 8-12 are able to get their laptops before 7th grade orientation. Sorry about the confusion and the incorrect post.

7th grade orientation will take place Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 6-7pm in the Commons. All 7th grade students and their parents are asked to attend. At the conclusion of the orientation, 7th grade students may pick-up their laptops if all fees are paid, and the correct forms have been filled out.

Students in grades 7-12 may pick up their laptops beginning Mon., Aug. 5 from 9 AM until 3 PM. Please stop in the HS office to check out the computer. Computer Protection must be paid. Any billed damages will need to be paid. Final Forms must also be completed!

DEADLINE- FRIDAY, July 26 School supplies will once again be available for Hicksville students who qualified for free/reduced lunches during the 2018-19 school year. The Hicksville Community Service Center (419-542-7173) will be distributing the supplies. If you qualify, please call the Center and leave your children’s name(s) and grade that they will be entering in the fall, along with your phone number, by Friday, July 26. Supplies will be available for pick up at the Lifeline Connect Ministry Center, 104 Fountain Street, on Tuesday, August 13 from 1-4pm and Wednesday, August 14 from 4-7pm.

The recycled plastic table was delivered to the pool this morning. Enjoy relaxing at the pool beginning at noon today and see the finished product! A special thank you to Eric Bassett and John Adams for helping with the final delivery.

Today we loaded up our 500+ pounds of plastic caps for the trip to Green Tree Plastics in Evansville, Indiana. Look for the recycled plastic picnic table at the Hicksville Pool soon! Thank you again to all who contributed and to the Hicksville Science Club for their hard work.

Congratulations to Mrs. Gerken’s Drama I students! On Thursday, May 23, they performed IS THERE A COMIC IN THE HOUSE? This comedy in two acts was a hilarious success! The 8th graders had a busy day. They went to Arlington National Cemetery, US History Museum, Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Korean War Memorial, and the World War II memorial. Many steps, miles, and flights of stairs were taken today.
